The Aquateck 15/25 W Quartz Sleeve is a replacement quartz sleeve for compatible Aquateck 15 W and 25 W UV-C units. It creates a protective barrier between the UV-C lamp and pond water while allowing UV-C light to pass through.
Replace the quartz sleeve if it becomes cracked, chipped or heavily coated. A clean, undamaged sleeve helps the UV-C unit operate as intended. The Aquateck accessories range lists this sleeve for 15 W and 25 W units.
Installation And Maintenance
Always isolate the UV-C unit from the electrical supply before servicing. UV-C light can harm eyes and skin, so never look directly at an operating UV-C lamp.
Handle the quartz sleeve carefully during removal and fitting. Check the O-rings and seals for wear or damage before reassembling the unit. Clean the sleeve only as directed in your UV-C unit instructions, then carry out a leak check before returning the system to service.
