EVO-Surge Filter

The Evolution Aqua EVO-Surge Filter with 18 W UV-C adds mechanical and biological filtration to your pond system in one compact pressure filter. Use it alongside an existing filter for extra polishing or as a standalone filter on smaller ponds up to 5,000 litres.

Water enters at the base of the unit and passes upwards through Evolution Aqua K+Media. The media forms a mechanical barrier that captures debris while providing surface area for biological filtration. The integrated 18 W UV-C supports clearer water by treating free-floating algae before water returns to the pond.

Why It Is Useful

• Adds mechanical and biological filtration to an existing setup
• Includes an 18 W UV-C unit
• Suitable for use as a polishing filter or on quarantine systems
• Can operate as a standalone filter on ponds up to 5,000 litres
• Pressure-filter design allows flexible positioning, including below pond water level
• Uses K+Media, which Evolution Aqua states can filter particles down to one micron
• Quick cleaning through the patent-pending air-syphon cleaning design
• Includes a two-year warranty

How It Works

Pond water is pumped through the EVO-Surge Filter and rises through the K+Media. As the media lifts within the filter, it traps suspended waste. During cleaning, the filter draws in air as it empties, agitating the K+Media to release collected debris before waste flushes away.

Cleaning And Maintenance

Cleaning takes only a few steps:

1. Switch off and isolate the pump.
2. Close the slide valves.
3. Open the waste valve tap.
4. Allow the air-syphon action to agitate the media and flush out trapped waste.
5. Close the waste valve, reopen the slide valves and restart the system.

Always isolate electrical equipment before maintenance. Never look directly at an operating UV-C lamp as UV-C light can harm eyes and skin. Follow the product instructions when servicing the filter or UV-C unit.

Fit And Compatibility

The EVO-Surge Filter works as a pump-fed unit and can be added to an existing pond filtration line where a pumped feed is available. It is designed for use as additional filtration or as a compact standalone option for smaller ponds.

Check the product specifications or contact MS Koi before ordering if you need to confirm pipework, valves or fitting requirements for your individual system.
