Installation And Maintenance

Position the Green Genie – 30000 25 Watt UV on firm, level ground where you can safely access it for cleaning and UV-C servicing.

Install the filter as part of a pump-fed pond system:

Pond pump → Green Genie filter → pond return

Before connecting the system, check the pump flow, pipe diameter and filter connection sizes. Use correctly matched hose or pipe and avoid unnecessary sharp bends that can restrict water flow. Check the product instructions before selecting hosetails, reducers or other fittings.

Inspect the filter regularly and remove collected debris as required. Clean filter media using pond water taken from the system where appropriate, helping to avoid unnecessary disruption to established biological filtration.

Always isolate electrical equipment before maintenance. Never look directly at an operating UV-C lamp as UV-C light can harm eyes and skin. Follow the manufacturer instructions when opening the unit, checking seals or servicing the quartz sleeve and UV-C lamp.
