What It Does

Green water is caused by microscopic single‑cell algae suspended in the pond. As water passes through the Bitron C housing, it flows around a 36‑watt UV‑C lamp protected by a quartz sleeve.

The ultraviolet light:

• Disrupts single‑cell algae
• Causes the algae to clump together
• Allows your mechanical filter to capture and remove the particles

UV‑C improves water clarity but does not replace proper mechanical and biological filtration.
