When a larger pond turns green, standard UV units can struggle to keep up. The OASE Vitronic 36 W delivers higher UV‑C output to control suspended algae in medium to large ornamental ponds.
Used alongside a correctly sized filter, it supports consistent water clarity during peak algae season.
How It Works
Water from your pump flows through the Vitronic housing and past a UV‑C lamp enclosed within a protective quartz sleeve.
The ultraviolet light:
- Disrupts single‑cell algae
- Causes algae to clump together
- Allows your mechanical filter to capture and remove it
UV‑C controls green water but does not replace proper filtration.
